This is advanced professional civil engineering work with administrative responsibility in the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of varied utilities and public works facilities. Work involves responsibility for planning, assigning and reviewing the work of a small technical staff. Emphasis of the work is on development of policies and procedures to ensure success in the monitoring of the work of architectural and engineering consultants and contractors engaged in the design and construction of a variety of structures and related projects. Responsibilities include analyzing special conditions/circumstances which arise on the projects, assisting staff with solving difficult or unusual problems. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in civil engineering or related field with four (4) years progressively responsible experience in the design, construction administration in water distribution and/or wastewater collection such as pipelines, pump stations, lift stations, and tanks is required. Field service experience and Site Observation experience is preferred. Professional Engineer preferred. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work flexible work schedules and travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida facilities. In the event of an emergency, must also be willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends.
