Job Description
The role of the STAMP Project Manger is to facilitate the creation, development, and implementation of Training and Multimedia Projects for the KU Student Operations department with the goal of improving business results through focusing on projects that target performance improvement. The STAMP PM is assigned to a content area and assists a group of clients with project management and content development needs. As such, the PM is also a Content Expert in their area and offers input on business needs and skill/knowledge gaps that require attention. PM is also an experienced Instructional Designer and can develop programs using the latest education/training technologies available. Day to day activities break down as follows:
Project Management: 40%
Development: 60%
Project Management tasks:
*Needs analysis: conduct focus groups; gather data; work with clients and SMEs
*Project documentation: write project charters; WBS; RFP
*Communication: lead project meetings; schedule follow-ups and accountability meetings
*Development: allocate resources and budgets; contract vendors and internal shared services
*Project implementation: develop SOPs; communicate rollout plans; coordinate launch events
*Project/product assessment: collect data and analyze results; conduct lessons learned meetings; summarize project strengths and challenges
Development Tasks:
*Design training curriculum: write learning objectives; design training activities based on learning methodologies; determine instructional delivery methods; create storyboards and mock-ups; write instructional narratives; determine learning and transference measurement criteria and processes
*Write training copy: write training copy for both print and online materials; write engaging messaging in training copy; conduct research as a basis for writing relevant and accurate training copy; work with SMEs to validate and proof training copy; write effective quiz/exam questions; tailor content and messaging to appropriate audiences; edit and proof existing training copy
*Develop training media: create engaging training presentations in various formats (Adobe Captivate, Adobe Connect, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, STT Trainer); create engaging graphic environments using various tools (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign)

International Understanding: STAMP PM for International will be expected to know or learn the following aspects of International business:
*Global business knowledge
oUnderstands business on a global scale
oUnderstands what works in many countries
oUnderstands what's different from country to country
oUnderstands global differences in prospective students
oUnderstands that different laws and regulations govern global business
*Cross cultural sensitivity
Experience Required:
*Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Technology or related field (master's degree preferred)
*At least 2 years of Instructional Design experience
*At least 2 years of Project Management experience
*Experience supporting international business initiatives preferred
*Advanced working knowledge of Adobe products
*Understanding of the user experience in online/web-based teaching and learning
*Must be able to translate ideas into tangible multimedia products
*An ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
*Ability to work independently as well as on a team
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, self-starter, flexible and detail-oriented
*Strong organizational, communication and listening skills
*A portfolio of work available for review is required
*Prior experience with video production and web-based media highly desired

Measurement of Success:
The Multimedia Developer will be evaluated based on:
*Ability to identify opportunities and generate projects proactively
*Number of development hours
*Ability to complete projects to show continuity of work and results
*Ability to meet project deadlines
*Ability to meet client needs and provide them with quality support
