Job: LPN

Broward House, Inc. is a community-based organization with multiple locations throughout Broward County, Florida. Incorporated in 1988, we provide a full array of quality services to those living with and at risk for HIV and other health issues. Programs include community-wide case management, substance abuse treatment, supportive and independent housing, intervention, mental health services, outreach/education, transportation, complementary therapies and medical services.

Broward House seeks an individual to assists residents with activities of daily living including supervision of diets. Assures that each resident receives medication as ordered. Completes nursing assessments on admission and monthly thereafter. Responsible for orientating new residents to the facility. Communicates with primary health care providers. Supervises Nursing Assistants. Refers resident care problems to the Director of Residential Services. Provides emotional security and support to residents. Ensures pleasant working environment with residents and staff. Follows all policies and procedures both written and oral.

Must be a graduate of a State accredited School of Licensed Practical Nursing and licensed to practice as an L.P.N. in the State of Florida and 3 years experience. Experience or knowledge of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is preferred. Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office, Internet and databases in daily job functions. Applicants have to pass AHCA and drug screenings.
