Seamstress will be responsible for repairing employee uniforms, linen, etc., to assure proper fit while maintaining their condition.

Requires knowledge and ability to perform operations on commercial sewing equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in English and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff. Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.

Requires mobility. Frequent grasping, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 20 pounds may be required. Ability to manually push, pull, or lift heavy items weighing 50 to 100 pounds with assistance. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors. Normal vision and hearing range.

No specific requirement. Related alterations on commercial sewing equipment experience preferred.
