Job Description
Purpose of the Job/Principal Responsibilities:
The major responsibilities of this position are:

1.Management and responsibility of data processes including one or all of the following: SSIS package development and maintenance, creation and maintenance of tables, views, SQL queries that support Process Improvement projects involving; improved student satisfaction, improved organizational efficiencies and improved organizational effectiveness.
2.Documentation and status reporting of the aforementioned projects and data processes.
3.Proactive identification of process improvement enhancements to more efficiently serve the growing needs of Kaplan Higher Education internal and external customers.
4.Facilitation of individuals and/or teams using the aforementioned methodologies focused on specific organizational issues.
5.Coaching internal customers and team members on SQL related tasks such as the ones mentioned above.

Upon maturing in the position, the Process Improvement Data Miner will proactively identify and address issues that will be reported to business decision makers and initiate those recommendations in the most expedient manner, using the most effective methodology. The incumbent will accomplish this by drawing upon an acquired working knowledge of the organizational goals in relation to the performance of the related processes.

Typical activities include:
*Partnering with constituencies across Kaplan Higher Education to ensure the proactive identification, communication and reporting of issues and appropriately developing corporate initiatives, project plans, and strategies to drive solutions.
*Ensuring the practical application of strategic thinking and process design; developing and implementing processes to assess, analyze and identify opportunities within each component of the business. Driving continuous improvements by establishing metrics to measure and ensure accountability.
*Completing projects and managing to specified timelines.
*Preparing, reviewing and or updating process flow documentation and regular reports to ensure their relevance, completeness and accuracy prior to their release.
*Ensuring Compliance with all external entities (such as, but not limited to Sarbanes Oxley.)
*Providing support to the Finance department as needed.

Experience Required:
*Bachelors degree, preferably in Information Technology.
*Three to five years of work experience in roles with increasing responsibility.
*Three to Five years of work experience related to defining, developing and maintaining SSIS packages, creation and maintenance of reports, SQL tables, views, queries.
*WhiteBelt or Greenbelt Certification desirable.
*Proven successful Project Management Experience desirable
*Demonstrated increase in duties and responsibilities over the length of the professional career
*Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment required, dealing with ambiguity
*Proven ability to independently function in an entrepreneurial environment with limited direction

Measurement of Success:
The Process Improvement Analyst will be evaluated based on: (a) effectiveness in supporting/leading data projects that deliver business impact and drive bottom-line results; (b) adherence to and documentation of processes, Database administration and reports; (c) feedback from internal customers.
