CARD CATH - RN II, Cardiac Catheterization
Accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient in the Cardiac Cath Lab demonstrating competency in this area of assignment for a culturally diverse population.
Includes the family or those significant to the patient are considered as part of the assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation efforts of the Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab. When care is not provided directly by the Registered Nurse, the RN II assigns/delegates care to her qualified members of the health care team. The RN II coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. He/she will be under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Clinical Leader, or Charge Nurse. The RN II fosters patient and family-centered care and works in respectful, supportive and collaborative ways with patients and families.

Competent with special technology as it applies to area of the Cardiac Cath Lab. Ability to circulate cases and to monitor hemodynamics. ACLS required, Critical Care experiance strongly prefered. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Licensed to practice in State of Florida. Takes call as assigned. Functions as Preceptor for new RNs to the Cath Lab. Participates in panel interview process.
