Operations Manager, Purchasing

The Purchasing Operations Manager plays an integral role in our collaborative model, by working closely with our Value Analysis Teams, building relationships with clinicians, and initiating discussions with executive management throughout every level of our multi-facility system. In this role, you will also be responsible for managing daily operations of the purchasing department, supervising staff, overseeing the operations budget and ensuring that both customer and organizational needs are met.

Bachelor's degree with at least three to five years of purchasing/materials experience in a multi-site healthcare environment is required. The individuals must possess keen analytical skills and an attention to detail, with the flexibility of adapting to a constantly changing work environment. The candidate must demonstrate strong team building and conflict resolution skills; a clear understanding of purchasing applications in a healthcare environment; and knowledge of the various supply chain functions i.e. Group Purchasing Organizations, Contract Management, and Value Analysis Teams. The individual must be knowledgeable in the various portfolio of commodities and services which represent the operational needs of the Memorial Healthcare System
