The Clinical Nurse Specialist works collaboratively with the health care team to ensure both practice and professional standards are identified and maintained in the delivery of patient care, and that mutually determined patient outcomes are achieved. The Clinical Nurse Specialist interacts with patients and peers within the 3 spheres of influence: the patient/family, nursing personnel, and organizational systems. Nursing care by the Clinical Nurse Specialist will be continuous and comprehensive. The clinical Nurse specialist promotes research and excellence in patient care while supporting and facilitating nursing's professional growth and development, and upholding standards of professionalism. Education and/or Experience: -Master's degree in nursing or related field -At least (3) three years recent experience in specialty -Clinical competency in specialty -Certification in specialty required
