WHAT IS THE PALMS WEST CHAMBER OF COMMERCE? A regional chamber of commerce serving businesses in the communities of Royal Palm Beach, Wellington, Greenacres, the Acreage and Loxahatchee - our boundaries are Lantana Road to Northlake Blvd., Military Trail to 20 Mile Bend. A non-profit trade organization receiving funding from memberships and special events. A membership based organization whose mission is to protect the quality of the region and enhance its business community. The largest business organization in the west central communities serving over, 800 member businesses and over 150,000 residents within these communities. WHAT ARE ITS FUNCTIONS? To be the information agency of the west central communities-servicing newcomers, tourists, new businesses, relocating individuals, existing businesses. To provide services to its members: networking opportunities; groundbreaking and ribbon cutting ceremonies; publicity and marketing assistance; business seminars; business exposition opportunities such as Taste of the West, Palms WestFest and Mini business expos. To create a stable economic environment for business through lobbying efforts and representation with organizations such as the Business Development Board of PBC, the economic Council's Business Alliance, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Palm Beach County, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. To provide members and the community with leadership opportunities in programs such as the Chairman's Club and Leadership Palms West.   Our Mission"Your Success Is Our Business" The Palms West Chamber of Commerce, now in its 24th year, serves the 150,000 residents of the central & western communities of Palm Beach County and over 800 business members. The Chamber was organized as a regional chamber to encourage and maintain economic growth while fostering a sense of unity and partnership between business, government, and the residents of the communities of the Acreage, Loxahatchee, Royal Palm Beach, Greenacres and Wellington. Our representation is strong in organizations such as Palm Beach County's Business Development Board, the Economic Council's Business Forum, Palm Beach County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Leadership Palm Beach County, to name a few. We are also members of the Florida and US Chambers of Commerce. These groups offer Chamber members the opportunity to voice their opinions on issues affecting the Western Communities, to share pertinent information and to extend community resources. Staff and dedicated volunteers carefully monitor local, county, and state governmental and educational issues to assure Chamber members a voice in decisions affecting the communities’ quality of life. The Chamber believes in proactive involvement and is committed to helping shape the positive future of the Western Communities through the development of chamber programs such as Leadership West, the Chairman's Club, and WESTPAC. In addition to the business aspects of the Palms West Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber also coordinates a variety of community events. Our annual holiday parade, held in Wellington, is viewed by over 40,000 and participated in by over 3,000. Our family festival, called Palms WestFest, held in November, brings over 14,000 to our area for a fun family event featuring crafts, food, entertainment, business booths and much more. Our Taste of The West and Chocolate Lovers Festival held in June is our Spring business expo, and features restaurant samplings and a chocolate dessert contest.
