As Miami-Dade County's official economic development partnership, The Beacon Council is charged with bringing new, job-generating investments to the community, while assisting existing businesses in their efforts to expand. By doing this, The Beacon Council facilitates the creation of quality jobs for each and every resident of Miami-Dade County.
Since its creation in 1986, The Beacon Council has completed more than 690 new location and expansion projects. These projects resulted in over 59,000 direct and indirect jobs and $2.3 billion in new capital investment in our community.
The Beacon Council has been successful in bringing to Miami-Dade County companies like Caterpillar, Porsche, Federal Express, Nokia, Burger King, Ryder Systems, Inc., AIG and Discovery Channel Latin America.
